Can there be a set-up that ensures that people's pseudonyms or apparent real names are not duplicated, ie Anonymous, then Anonymous1, 2, 3, etc. Is that doable?greywarblernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3753486518085091399.post-89065572189707619652021-11-12T14:58:25.678+13:002021-11-12T14:58:25.678+13:00Most remember the type. Every political meeting in the last quarter of the 20th Century, Pakeha, male, middle-aged, unshaved crazed eyes, fidgeting uncomfortably until the Chair asked for questions. Arms swaying, fingers pointing - no matter what the topic of the meeting, he launched into the monologue about fluoridation. The first two decades of the 21st Century, same profile but with dog tied up outside, this time it was 1080.

A skilled chair would recognize the self-imagined revelator needed a bit of a rant, then remind him he needed a question. A bit of bluster, and the meeting could move on and regain some form. The audience had equal amounts of annoyance and sympathy. They knew a single thought was trapped in the brain of what often transpired to be a once educated head.

It is unlikely that political meetings will be able to contain the anti-vax obsessives in the same manner. The very nature of public political meeting may come under threat. Small in number, the obstinance of belief and martyrdom will have the aim of disruption of all community and political interaction. This is the Bannonisation of New Zealand politics. Chaos replaces our well established traditions and landscapes.

The result, less public meetings, elected officials choosing 'safe' events and the political accountability diluted.

NZ is likely to peak at between 95-98% vaccination (not quite Canberra /ACT, but will be close). This is a small number of self-centered obsessives. I have previously rejected the idea that NZ has division (as the numbers actually reflect a high level of unity) but what we have is a tiny minority that will not allow the vast majority to function in a public health crisis or beyond.
The Barronnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3753486518085091399.post-79810532815809061362021-11-12T13:39:03.342+13:002021-11-12T13:39:03.342+13:00I see.... so any one in disagreement with the Grub...I see.... so any one in disagreement with the Grubment of the day is in for the well deserved jackboot of that hierarchy

Perhaps you will also enlighten readers as to the justification, along with your rendition of the events at Tienanmen SquareAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3753486518085091399.post-66391967342551069302021-11-12T11:17:45.915+13:002021-11-12T11:17:45.915+13:00Shut down the Internet?
